Law regarding damages caused by neighbors

Question:

We have house in village. Our neighbours used our room wall and did plaster to our wall on their side. It caused us damaged to our room with seepage and paint issue. What Pakistan law prohibited such creepy neighbours and what's the punishment.

Solution

According to the Pakistan Penal Code, Section 455, any person who commits mischief by doing any act which is done with the intention of causing damage or loss to the property of others is guilty of an offense. This includes damaging someone else's property, including walls.

Section 427 of the Pakistan Penal Code also prohibits causing damage to another person's property.

If your neighbors have caused damage to your wall, you may file a complaint with the local police station and seek legal action under these sections of the Pakistan Penal Code. The punishment for such an offense can include fines and imprisonment, depending on the severity of the damage and the intent of the offender.

It is important to note that seeking legal action may not always be the best course of action, and it may be more effective to try to resolve the issue through communication and negotiation with your neighbors. However, if communication and negotiation fail, legal action may be necessary to protect your property rights.
